The largest religious monument in the world (wow) is Angkor Wat in Cambodia. It’s hard to describe the beauty of the architecture and the elaborate and extensive decoration – Angkor Wat is a place that you must experience for yourself.
Just when I thought I couldn’t be more blown away by the structure itself, I found out some more historical info on the building process later that evening. I was of course watching a doco on its construction when I was having one of my many $6USD foot massages (AH-MAZE-ING by the way). Apparently this huge site was created in just 35 years. For me it felt like exploring a lost city. A labyrinth of tunnels full of secrets and stories. Angkor Wat certainly has it’s own energy.
