It’s the world’s biggest weekend market and covers off around 8,000 stalls. Knowing this, Chatuchak (or Jatujak) market was a must-see for me. From art works, to accessories, to home decor including antiques, to clothing including vintage this is the place to hang out on your Saturday. Be prepared to go the distance in this behemoth of a market by wearing casual, breathable clothes, comfortable flats, a backpack (for your goodies) and a bottle of water. Cash is also a must as vendors don’t usually accept cards. Perusing through the many alleyways can be quite sweltering! I would also recommend (not my usual style) to purchase on the spot – likelihood is that you won’t find that particular stall again in this labyrinth of shopping goodness! I purchased a gorgeous print vintage dress. Buddy Tara on the other hand took home what seemed like the whole market including a large framed print!
