Day 1. The Bangkok adventure begins…

Well, what can I say? The joys of the Bangkok trip actually started on the plane! This was my first ever business class experience, and I am so glad it was on Thai Airways. I was quite an embarrassing flyer – making it quite obvious I wasn’t a business class pro. I was fascinated with all the buttons on the chair, the entertainment and the white tablecloth breakfast! I needed to take full advantage of this luxury so I ensured once the seatbelt sign was off I was horizontal with the massage feature on at all times! Thank you Thai Airways – I didn’t want to get off!

Straight from the airport we headed to Royal Orchid Sheraton Tower & Hotel. A flower wreath on arrival and hotel tour kick started the amazing cordiality of the hotel staff throughout our 3 days there. Our rooms had full views of the river. The pool, dining spots and exec lounge were well above expectation and frequented often. The most relaxing touch? An hour long aromatherapy massage with tranquility oil at the on-site spa. I’m kicking myself a little actually, as the massage was so damn relaxing I fell into a deep coma for most of it!

For exceptional comfort and service in travel to visit Bangkok yourself, check out Thai Airways Singapore for flights.
