Attention Singapore brides: Vera Wang has arrived!

When it comes to bridal gowns, there’s only one queen, and her name is Vera. She’s not only synonymous with wearable modern romance, but also her effortless, edgy style and delicate craftsmanship.

Brides across the world long to wear her designs…and now Singapore’s lucky ladies have better-than-front-row access to Vera Wang at the designer’s new Marina Bay Sands store, the first in South East Asia.

verawangmarinabaysands1The store itself is meticulously crafted – we’d expect no less from the former Vogue editor – and will house a range of shoes, accessories, fragrances and homewares. Front and centre however, this is a salon for brides-to-be to luxuriate in personal service. The range has already been tailored for the more petite Asian frame, but there are also consultants available to help you find your dream dress in a flattering cut (it’s recommended that you email singapore [at] verawang.com to make an appointment).

The boutique recommends ordering 8 months ahead of the occasion for a reason: each gown is special-order to reflect the bride’s accessories, figure and any custom requests. It might seem like a long time to wait, but for Vera Wang fans it’s well worth it. After all, who wouldn’t want to be seen in one of her creations?

We’ve picked a few favourite designs from the Spring 2015 collection…

This cut is simple but effortlessly sexy, sure to boost your confidence down the aisle in just a few swathes of chiffon:

For those that prefer a little high fashion drama, laser cuts and a classic tulle skirt ensure you’ll be the centre of attention:

Tulle doesn’t have to mean volume…in the right hands it can be a delicate corset flowing into a delicately detailed skirt:

For a more classically flattering style, an embellished bodice with a fishtail skirt will leave a trail of jealous looks:

Of course, lace can also be used for a whimsical, bohemian look:

Finally, classic shapes don’t need to be boring! The corseted bodice and princess skirt is a sure winner, but this edgier take on the details will be what people remember:

In line with other markets, the bridal gowns will start at around $5000SGD and you can expect that brides from across the region will flock to the store.

Whether you’re a lucky bride or just looking for a little Vera Wang style to brighten your home, visit the store at Bay Level, L1-29A Marina Bay Sands.
